is on the boys baseball team for her High School
and they had a tournament in Las Vegas. We
went down there for a few days to watch her. She
is awesome by the way. Luke loved watching Jenna
strike out the boys.

We took the scouts to the Bean Museum to work on one of their pins and while we were there we got to see a few of the animals in a brief show. At the end of the show the trainer let the kids touch some of the animals. Luke got to touch the snake. We are not sure by the look on his face if he liked it or not.

A Day At The Park

One day Grant stayed home from school and we made a lunch and took Luke to the park for a picnic. We had lunch, played on the playground, went on a walk and fed the ducks. We loved spending the day with Grant.

Ro-Bot

Today Grant showed Luke a picture of a robot on one of his blocks and Grant said robot and I heard Luke say Robot or at least as close to Robot as a 15 month old can say.

Luke loves to watch the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse every morning and at the end of each episode is the Mouseka Dance aka The Hot Dog Dance. Here is a little preview.

Play Group at the Park

Every Wednesday Luke and I have been going to the weekly play group at the park that our ward has set up. Luke loves it, even though he is still too little for most of the toys. His favorite is the swing, blue tube and the small slides, (although he goes down the big slides when daddy is there). Here are a few pics of him over the past few weeks at the park.

Luke's 9 Month Check up

Luke had his 9 month check up on Tuesday, he weighed 19 pounds 9 ounces that put him in the 33 percentile. Which was up 13 percent from his 6 month visit. His length was 29 3/4 inches and he is in the 93 percentile (What a shocker right?)and his head was in the 63 percentile. The doctor was amazed at his development and motor skills and was warn out just by watching our happy, active little boy.

Ya know what really grinds my gears?!?!?!?

For everyone that watches Family Guy that quote will make sense. My favorite radio station KBER 101.1 has an afternoon crew (Mick and Allen). Every Monday they take callers with rants about things that upset them called "Mad Mondays". I called in to express my upsettedness about buying an iPhone for $400 a few weeks ago and just to rub it in Monday June 9th Steve Jobs reveals the iPhone 3G (basically the iPhone 2) that will be available July 11th for $200. Talk about bad timing. For once I should have trusted all those nuts on the web and their "exclusive inside info". So I called in to the radio station and told them all about it. Later in the show they picked the winner and guess what? For the first time ever calling in to a radio station and getting through and winning I was pretty suprised. Who says miracles have ceased to occur? So I won tickets to see the Stone Temple Pilots and tickets to a Funny Car Race. (What ever that is). So tomorrow night I will be going to see STP with my cousin Reed. Remember, even though things may not go your way, some radio personalities may be inclined to give you ticket equal in value to the amount that you over payed for your sweet new cell phone. Lesson learned I say.

Luke's First Roller Derby

So Matt, the head of the structural engineering branch of the firm I work for, is a ref for a womens roller derby league. His administrative assistant (secretary) Becca plays for the Sisters Of No Mercy and on the 24th of May we went to one of their matches with some of the poeple that I work with. They lost but a lot of girls got knocked on their butts and we had a blast.
